The Alan E. Beer Center for Reproductive Immunology & Genetics helps families grow by researching and treating couples who experience recurrent miscarriages, multiple pregnancy losses or repeated in vitro fertilization failures.

 

 


Gerald E. Trobough, M.D.

Gerald E. Trobough, M.D., graduated from the University of Oregon Medical with honors in 1965. He completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Dr. Trobough has been in private practice at Los Olivos Women's Medical Group in Los Gatos, California since 1971.

Having a keen interest in medical research, Dr. Trobough established a Research Foundation in Los Gatos, California in 1981. He has served on the Board of Directors of the California Institute of Medical Research in San Jose since 1975. With an additional interest in recurrent abortion, Dr. Trobough participated in a multi-center research project in the use of Leucocyte Immunization Transfer (LIT) in patients with recurrent pregnancy loss in 1997-98.

Dr. Trobough worked closely with Dr. Beer from 1980 until the time of Dr. Beer's death. He has performed numerous ultrasounds, biophysical uterine profiles and endometrial biopsies on Dr. Beer's patients, and patients following Dr. Beer's protocols, for over 15 years.
